When Church Is The Only Place You Are Not A Provider

When church is the only place you are not a provider, you may go — and you still have to come home as the same man, not as someone who spent his kindness on the sanctuary.

Some men are gentle in the aisle and sharp in the kitchen. That split is not faith. That is a costume with a hymn.

Is it wrong to need a quiet hour?

No. A quiet hour can save a week. Wrong is using the quiet hour to avoid the people who needed a gentler you.

What if the house mocks church?

Go without a speech. Come back useful. A man who returns from mass and washes plates preaches better than a man who quotes verses over dirty dishes.

What if you do not believe the same as your family?

You can still be decent. Decency does not require a matching rosary. It requires a matching temper.

Frequently asked questions

Can rest be a walk instead of church?
Yes. The point is a place where you are not only a wallet. Then bring that human home.

What if church asks for money you do not have?
Give what you can. Do not borrow for a collection plate. God is not a 5-6.
