What To Do When You Envy Your Barkada's Life

When you envy your barkada's life, tell the truth to yourself first: you want a piece of what they posted. Then look at your actual Tuesday before you set fire to it.

A car. A visa. A wedding. A body. Envy is information. It is a bad compass if you follow it drunk.

What is envy trying to say?

Sometimes it says you want rest, not their car. Sometimes it says you want respect, not their trip. Ask twice before you copy the object.

How do you sit with them without shrinking?

Congratulate without a joke that cuts. Do not announce your lack. Do not perform being above it. Be a friend, then go home to your own numbers.

What do you do with the energy?

One skill, one envelope, one health step. Envy that becomes a plan is useful. Envy that becomes a night of insults is rot.

Frequently asked questions

Should you unfriend them?
If the feed is poisoning you, mute. Friendship can survive a quieter follow.

Is ambition the same as envy?
Ambition looks forward. Envy looks sideways and hurts. You can want more without resenting the man who got there.
